Exploring Canyonlands and Arches National Parks – #Back2Van

In This Video

Wondering what to do in Canyonlands? We wanted to go for a hike and when we asked the fine folks at the info centre, they told us that it would be better to do a few short hikes. So, we hiked to Upheaval Dome to the second overlook and also visited Mesa Arch.
The next day, after Greg biked Slickrock (see previous video), we toured our van life dwelling through the Arches National Park.

Mountain Biking Slickrock in Moab, Utah – #Back2Van

We couldn’t leave Moab without Gee mountain biking Slickrock trail. Mountain bike trails in Moab are among the best in the world and Slickrock attracts riders from all over the globe. He rode the trail with his hardtail Kona and shares some highlights and trail features.

Learning to Mountain Bike in Moab – #Back2Van

In This Video

We checked out the mountain biking in Moab! We rented a dual suspension bike and Gee rode it on the Captain Ahab trail, Cee rode it on a trail in Dead Horse State Park. Cee starts learning to mountain bike in Moab, Utah.

This was a turning point for us. From now on, we’re chasing not only the sunshine, but also the mountain bike trails.

Van Life From Arizona to Free in Camping Utah – #Back2Van

In This Video

We set off from the Grand Canyon and explored free camping in Utah. We vanned our way to Moab where Cee got to experience true singletrack mountain biking for the first time.
The camping along the way was spectacular.

Gee’s grandfather’s Buck Knife used to gently halve peach tartlets and to baton wood. it’s a slimmer, more nimble alternative to the chunkier classic 119.

Touring Sedona and the Grand Canyon – #Back2Van

We headed up through New Mexico to Arizona where we visited Sedona and then toured the Grand Canyon.
While in Sedona, we tried out the biking trails and there was a short bit of single track at the end of the Bell Rock trail that got us excited for Moab.

Tales from Texas – #Back2Van

Our thoughts are with the folks in the path of Hurricane Harvey. We traveled through Corpus Christi and Padre Island on through Louisiana back in March and these were some of our favourite places to visit.
