Exploring Canyonlands and Arches National Parks – #Back2Van

In This Video

Wondering what to do in Canyonlands? We wanted to go for a hike and when we asked the fine folks at the info centre, they told us that it would be better to do a few short hikes. So, we hiked to Upheaval Dome to the second overlook and also visited Mesa Arch.
The next day, after Greg biked Slickrock (see previous video), we toured our van life dwelling through the Arches National Park.

#flightofthesnowbirds – The Map From Canada to Mexico

The plan: leave Canada and head south for the winter.

Here’s our Google map that we’ve been working on. If you’ve been following our journeys you’ll see a difference in this map – we’re differentiating map markers using coloured icons. You’ll see bike markers for mountain biking trail heads; picnic table icons for places we might overnight that are public spaces such as picnic areas or beaches; parking icons for stop overs such as Walmarts and casinos; and other icons such as libraries or wifi spots where we can work. We’ll probably add water and sani-stations as we find them.

Feel free to use this map to plan your route along the west coast to Mexico!

We welcome all suggestions for places to see, places to boondock, free or inexpensive campsites or even parking spots that allow overnight parking! Reach out to us via social media or through our email contact form.
